Pottery studios in Fort Worth, Texas

Fort Worth's pottery scene is concentrated in the Near Southside, the Cultural District, the West 7th area, and out in the Stockyards. Prices are friendly: drop-in classes from $45, six-week courses from $250-375. The community is anchored by the broader Texas craft tradition and the Texas Christian University ceramics program, with several studios offering multi-level wheel curricula. Memberships with kiln access are widely available. Hand-building drops in easily; wheel throwing usually requires the intro class first. Date-night and drop-in classes are common in the Near Southside and West 7th. Kids programs run year-round at the community art centers. For longer study, the Cultural District and Near Southside studios have the deepest multi-level progression and best access to the broader DFW ceramics community.
