Summary
ClayDirectory is a static directory site. We don't require accounts, we don't sell anyone's data, and we collect only what we need to keep the site running and reply to messages you send us.
What we collect
- Aggregate analytics. Plausible Analytics tracks which pages are viewed and from which countries. Cookieless. No IP retention beyond the request cycle. No cross-site tracking.
- Contact form submissions. When you send a message via /contact, we receive your name, email, topic, and message. We use this only to reply to you. Submissions are delivered via Resend and stored in our email inbox.
- Server logs.Vercel (our host) logs request IPs and user-agent strings for security and rate-limiting. Logs are retained per Vercel's standard policy.
What we don't collect
- We don't use cookies for tracking.
- We don't fingerprint, cross-site-track, or build advertising profiles.
- We don't sell or rent contact information to anyone, ever.
Third-party services
- Mapbox renders the maps. When a map loads, your IP and user-agent reach Mapbox to fetch tiles. See Mapbox's privacy policy.
- Plausible Analytics handles page-view counts in a privacy-respecting way (no cookies, no IP retention, EU-hosted). See Plausible's privacy policy.
- Resend delivers contact-form emails to our inbox. See Resend's privacy policy.
- Google AdSense may serve display ads on some pages once approved (currently under review). If and when that happens, Google may use cookies and similar technology to personalise ads. You can adjust ad personalisation at Google Ads Settings.
- Unsplashhosts our hero photos. Loading a city page fetches images from Unsplash's CDN.
Studio listings
Studio names, addresses, phone numbers, and websites in our directory are public information sourced from Google Places and each studio's own website. Studios can request removal or corrections at hello@claydirectory.com.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold about you. For ClayDirectory, that usually means contact-form submissions you sent. Email hello@claydirectory.com with your request and we'll act on it within 30 days.
Changes
If this policy changes, the "Last updated" date at the top will move. Material changes will be flagged here.
