Pottery studios in Austin, Texas

Austin's pottery community has grown alongside the city's broader maker scene, with studios mostly east of I-35 in the East Side and around Manor Road, plus a handful in South Lamar and the airport corridor. Prices sit slightly below the national average: drop-in wheel sessions from $55, six-week courses around $275-400. Studios here lean casual and beginner-friendly, with strong date-night and birthday-party programming aimed at the tech-employee crowd. Memberships with 24/7 studio access are increasingly common as the working-maker community expands. Hand-building workshops are easy to drop into, and a few studios offer Saturday family days for kids. If you want a no-commitment intro, target a Friday night BYOB hand-building session on the East Side.
