Pottery studios in Charlotte, North Carolina

Charlotte's pottery scene is concentrated in NoDa, Plaza Midwood, South End, and along Central Avenue. Prices are friendly: intro classes from $45, six-week courses from $225-350. Studios skew beginner-friendly and event-oriented, with strong date-night and birthday-party programming, plus a growing membership-and-kiln-share segment for independent makers. Wheel throwing requires the intro class at most studios; hand-building drops in with no prerequisite. Kids programs are available year-round, with summer camps in NoDa and South End. The scene is younger and less craft-formal than Asheville to the west, but it has grown quickly and now supports several studios with real multi-level progression beyond intro. For a casual first try, NoDa and Plaza Midwood are the easy picks.
