Prices are unusually friendly for the level of teaching available: intro classes from $40, six-week courses from $200-325. The scene is craft-serious without being pretentious, with several studios run by working potters who teach rigorous wheel and hand-building progressions. Memberships with kiln access and member shelves are widely available and affordable. Date-night and drop-in sessions are easy to find in Lawrenceville and the Strip. For serious study, the Strip District and Lawrenceville studios have the deepest multi-level curricula.
