Colibri Pottery Studio
1620 Oakland Rd D102, San Jose, CA 95131

San Jose's pottery scene runs through Downtown, Willow Glen, and the SoFA District, with additional studios in Campbell and Los Gatos. Prices are high reflecting the broader South Bay cost of living: drop-in classes from $60, six-week courses from $375-550. The community draws heavily on the tech-employee population, with strong date-night and team-event programming, plus a serious membership-and-kiln-share segment in the SoFA District. Several studios are run by working potters with strong reputations in the broader Bay Area ceramics community. Hand-building and wheel throwing are both widely taught; memberships with shelf space are waitlisted at the popular studios. Kids programs are available year-round but easier to find in the suburban Campbell and Los Gatos studios than downtown.
