Queen City Clay
2760 Highland Ave, Norwood, OH 45212

Cincinnati's pottery scene is concentrated in Over-the-Rhine, Northside, Pendleton, and out in Mariemont and Hyde Park. Prices are friendly: drop-in classes from $40, six-week courses from $225-325. The community has deep roots in American ceramics through Rookwood Pottery and the broader Cincinnati art tradition, with several studios still teaching in that lineage alongside contemporary work. Memberships with kiln access are widely available. Hand-building and wheel throwing are both well-covered, with several studios offering multi-level progression. Date-night and drop-in classes are easy to find in OTR and Northside. Kids programs run year-round at the community art centers. For longer study, the Northside and Pendleton studios have the deepest multi-level wheel curricula; for a casual evening, OTR is walkable from the bars and restaurants.
