Pottery studios in Phoenix, Arizona

Phoenix and the surrounding Valley have a steadily growing pottery community, with studios in central Phoenix (Roosevelt Row, Coronado, Arcadia), Tempe near ASU, and Scottsdale. Prices are friendly: drop-in wheel from $50, six-week courses from $250-375. The scene is beginner-heavy with strong date-night and group-event programming. Hand-building and wheel throwing are both widely taught; memberships with kiln access are increasingly common. Kids programs are easy to find, especially in Tempe and Scottsdale. Climate-controlled studios are the norm given the desert heat, and most studios run summer indoor programming aggressively. For longer study, look at the central Phoenix and Tempe studios with multi-level wheel curricula; for a casual evening, the Roosevelt Row and Scottsdale studios are the easy picks.
